At EUBC we pride ourselves in an ability to bring anyone, from any background, into boxing. For us it makes no difference if you have never boxed before in your life, if you consider yourself out of shape, or if you come from a background devoid of sport. All that matters is your dedication to taking the next step within the wider EUBC community. Beginners’ boxing is here to provide that first step and a platform to take you wherever you wish to travel within EUBC. Run by a student coach and featuring a number of committee members to support you, this is your chance to jump into boxing and never look back. |
Fitness and Conditioning
There are perhaps many preconceptions about the sport of Boxing; some true and others not. However, the idea that boxing can help you become fitter than you’ve ever been before certainly is true. At EUBC we have many members who show up to throw themselves into some seriously tough fitness. At Fitness and Conditioning sessions you’ll have no trouble reaching the limits of your fitness and smashing through them. Every member at EUBC is united by the mutual challenges of our sport so remember: keep pushing yourself beyond those limits!

Skills and Drills For a huge number of students at Edinburgh, sport offers the chance to de-stress, find a community to be a part of, and overcome the next personal challenge. At Skills and Drills boxing sessions, EUBC seeks to maximise support. With two coaches present at these sessions, we will help you can get the most out of your boxing . The sessions will start with a burst of fitness, moving on then to focus on improving your technique. Amongst this you will also have the opportunity to get some sparring, so Skills and Drills is EUBC's finest for all-round sport. |
Sparring
Competition Boxing represents the pinnacle of what EUBC can offer in many respects. As a club we are built upon dedication, unity, and respect; the members of EUBC who form our competition squad embody these values. They are individuals willing to dedicate themselves to each other, the competition squad, and EUBC as a whole. Whether it’s advanced boxing, heavy sparring, or fight preparation itself, EUBC’s Sparring session is your call to aim another step higher. |
